AUSTIN, Texas — After a dramatic 24-23 comeback victory over then-No. 1 Ohio State, Texas coach Steve Sarkisian said Monday that the Buckeyes should be rewarded for playing a marquee matchup in a nonconference game.
BEREA, Ohio — Cleveland Browns coach Todd Monken said Monday that he expects Deshaun Watson to remain as the team's starting quarterback this Sunday at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The story of Week 2 is obvious. Texas grabbed a win against an AP No. 1 team for the first time in years and established itself as a true contender for the national title.
The biggest game of the season so far lived up to expectations, with Texas avenging last year's loss to Ohio State by mounting a second-half comeback to win the second leg of the home-and-home. That also, obviously, had an implication for this week's rankings, with the Buckeyes vacating the top spot in the poll and the Longhorns replacing them. There was noise elsewhere in the top 10, with Oregon losing unexpectedly to Oklahoma State. Next week, there will be more major action with top-10 foes LSU and Ole Miss facing off in Oxford.

With the Buckeyes leading 23-3, everything about the way the game had unfolded suggested the finish would bring more of the same.
AUSTIN, Texas — The Ohio State Buckeyes controlled the game for more than three quarters.
