Lasith Malinga has joined Rajasthan Royals as their fast-bowling coach for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, which starts here on March 26. Rajasthan Royals on Friday also announced that Paddy Upton has joined the squad as a 'Team Catalyst'. Malinga, who took 546 wickets in 340 matches across three formats for Sri Lanka and also led the country to the 2014 ICC T20 World Cup trophy, will be working with the talented group of pacers in the Royals' set-up. Former Sri Lanka paceman Lasith Malinga was appointed as the new fast bowling coach of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR), ahead of the upcoming season of the cash-rich league. India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja could achieve a huge personal milestone when India face Sri Lanka in the second Test (D/N), starting at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. Jadeja, who will be playing his 59th Test for India, is just nine wickets away from completing 250 wickets in the longest format of the game. If Jadeja manages to take nine or more wickets against Sri Lanka in the day-night Test, he will become the 3rd quickest Indian to reach this landmark after Ravichandran Ashwin and Anil Kumble.
India stand-in vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah on Friday said the cricketers need to make a few "mental adjustments" going into a Pink Ball Test but defining one set parameter for that is not possible since all three day-night games they have played in the past, had varied conditions. India are gearing up for their fourth day-night Test against Sri Lanka, having played against Bangladesh, Australia and England before. Bumrah they are still learning how to approach pink ball games.
