India pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah took eight wickets to help his side win the day-night Test against Sri Lanka by 238 runs and wrap up a 2-0 series victory.
India captain Rohit Sharma was all praise for Shreyas Iyer after India beat Sri Lanka in the day-night Test to clean sweep the series 2-0 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Shreyas scored half-centuries in both innings of the match and was named 'Player of the Match' for his showing in the second Test. Rohit said that Shreyas had big shoes to fill after veteran batters Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane were dropped from the Test side for the Sri Lanka series.

India swept the two-match series against the islanders 2-0 on Monday with a 238-run win in the second Test here. Iyer, who replaced Rahane in the eleven, scored a fine 92 and 67 in a low-scoring game. Hanuma Vihari replaced Pujara at number three.

He took some time to settle but worked the ball around swiftly, consistently placing them in the gaps.

Bumrah on the other hand, returned with three wickets to back his five-wicket haul in the first innings. For Sri Lanka, captain Dimuth Karunaratne played a brilliant knock, scoring his 14th Test ton while Kusal Mendis slammed a breezy half-century. But it wasn't enough as India bowled them out for 208 in the second innings to complete the series sweep. The hosts had won the first Test by an innings and 222 runs.
