Watch: Indian Teen Krishna Pandey Smashes 6 Sixes In An Over In T10 Match

In the ongoing Pondicherry T10 Tournament, 15-year-old Krishna Pandey emulated the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Ravi Shastri and Kieron Pollard as he smashed six sixes in an over. In the match between Patriots and Royals, the latter were chasing 158 and in the sixth over of the match, Pandey teed off. Taking on Nitesh Kumar, Pandey hit five sixes on the trot before the bowler bowled a wide. The extra delivery, however, was also a maximum, albeit off a mishit.

Shame that Delhi Capitals couldn't make it to IPL final: Mitchell Marsh

Delhi Capitals all-rounder Mitchell Marsh feels that it's a "shame" that his team couldn't make it to the IPL final after losing the final league encounter to wooden spooners Mumbai Indians. DC's five-wicket defeat enabled Royal Challengers Bangalore to make it despite an inferior net run-rate throughout the tournament. "It was a shame we couldn't get into the (IPL) finals," the 30-year-old said here ahead of the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, beginning on June 7.

Australia Captain Aaron Finch Hopes Cricket Series Brings "Joy" To Crisis-Hit Sri Lanka

Australia's cricketers hope to bring some "joy" to Sri Lanka, white-ball captain Aaron Finch said on Friday, as the island nation prepares for a seven-week tour while wrestling with an unprecedented economic crisis. The squad arrived Wednesday for their first all-format series against Sri Lanka in six years, at a time when fuel shortages, rolling blackouts and political turmoil have made life a misery for many. The tour has raised security concerns in the Australian camp after deadly unrest in Sri Lanka last month, but Finch said his team were excited to be in the country.

Lasith Malinga appointed Sri Lanka's bowling strategy coach for white-ball series against Australia

Lasith Malinga has been appointed as the bowling strategy coach for the white-ball leg of Sri Lanka's home series against Australia, starting next week. A white-ball legend in his own right and one of the greatest T20 bowlers, the 38-year-old had held the same role with the national team when the team toured Australia in February this year for a white ball series. "Malinga, during the tour, will support Sri Lanka's bowlers, providing tactical insight and technical expertise to help the on-field execution of strategic plans," a Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) press release said. While Sri Lanka had lost the series 4-1, the bowlers managed to limit the scoring with the Australian batters restricted to a high total of 164/6 across the five games. "Sri Lanka Cricket is confident that Malinga's vast experience and renowned death-bowling expertise, especially in the T20 format, will help the team immensely going into this all-important series," the release added. Malinga retired from all forms of the game in 2021. He served as the fast bowling coach for the Rajasthan Royals in the recently-concluded Indian Premeir League. The former champions finished runners-up.
