Bengal Team Scripts History With 'World Record Chase' In 50-Over Cricket

Bengal's women's cricket team made history on Monday by completing the highest successful run chase in women's One-Day Cricket. They achieved this during the Senior Women's Trophy 2024 match against Haryana at the Niranjan Shah Stadium Ground C in Rajkot. It is a record in List-A women's cricket. Bengal players chased 390 and surpassed the previous record held by Northern Districts, who had chased down 309 runs against Canterbury in a 2019 New Zealand domestic match. On the international stage, Sri Lanka previously held the record with their chase of 305 runs against South Africa earlier this year. The highest domestic one-day score before Bengal's triumph was 356/4, set by Railways against Chandigarh in 2021.

Big Blow For England: Ben Stokes To Skip India Tour, Champions Trophy. The Reason Is...

England Test captain Ben Stokes has been ruled out of next year's Champions Trophy one-day international tournament in Pakistan and the preceding white-ball tour of India, team management announced Sunday. The 33-year-old star all-rounder was not considered  after damaging a hamstring during England's defeat by New Zealand in the third Test at Hamilton earlier this month. Pakistani Cricketer, Already Married, Opens Up On Potentially Marrying Other Women

Out-of-favour Pakistan batter Ahmed Shehzad suggested he has no plans of remarrying, insisting that he is happily married to his life. Shehzad's remarks came after Pakistani YouTuber Nadir Ali quizzed him about his love life and asked him whether he has any intentions to get married again. "PCB Gained More Than BCCI": After ICC's Compromise Formula on Champions Trophy, Pakistan Legend's Mega Dig

Pakistan's former players have expressed their relief after the ICC reached a breakthrough in the Champions Trophy impasse with India playing all its matches of the mega event at a neutral venue instead of host country under a reciprocal arrangement. In return, Pakistan will also play all its games in ICC events hosted by India at a neutral venue until the ongoing cycle ends in 2027. The deadlock over the hosting of next year's Champions Trophy finally ended on Thursday.
