The tourists, who lead the two-match series 1-0, ended the day still trailing Sri Lanka by 187 runs in their first innings at Galle. Agha Salman resisted the bowling attack with his maiden Test fifty but fell to Prabath Jayasuriya's left-arm spin for 62 in the final moments of play before stumps was called.

Batting at number nine, Mendis contributed 35 in Sri Lanka's 378 all out at the Galle International Stadium. The off-spinner then returned to wreck Pakistan's middle order and the tourists finished day two on 191-7, still 187 behind. Agha Salman led Pakistan's fightback with a defiant 62 before being dismissed in the final delivery of the day.

India scripted a memorable win in the second ODI against West Indies on Sunday, as they chased down a 312-run target in 49.4 overs. The win ensured that the Shikhar Dhawan-led side took an unassailable 2-0 win in the three-match series. Set a stiff target, the visitors were down to 205 for five in 38.4 overs but Axar Patel (64*, 35 balls) revived India's chase with his six-hitting prowess to take the visitors home with two balls to spare. Shreyas Iyer and Sanju Samson also scored half-centuries. Opener Shubman Gill also looked poised for a fifty-plus score but while on 43, he got out to Kyle Mayers in bizarre fashion.
Will Pucovski, Seven Others Head To India For 10-Day Training Camp
Australian batter Will Pucovski and seven other players will travel to Chennai for a 10-day training camp next month as part of an exchange programme with MRF Pace Foundation. The 24-year-old Pucovski had made his Test debut against India in January last year but had dislocated his shoulder during the match and had to undergo surgery. He then suffered a concussion last October, which kept him out of action. He returned at the back end of the summer, making 59 in the Marsh Sheffield Shield final. He was not named in the Australia 'A' squad for Sri Lanka tour but the move to include Pucovski in the camp suggests the Victorian could be in the frame for the Test tour of India.
