Out of form Bhuvneshwar Kumar a major worry for Team India

Seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar's lacklustre performances in the end overs are disrupting India's plans for the T20 World CupOn August 28, when Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 4-26 to play a key role in India's thrilling five-wicket win over arch-rivals Pakistan in the Asia Cup at Dubai, few thought that, with just a month left before their 2022 T20 World Cup opener against the same opponents, India's sole 'T20 specialist' bowler would become a source of one of India's biggest worries. In three out of India's last four matches, Bhuvneshwar has been taken to the cleaners in the penultimate over. Everything that he has tried-yorker, wide yorker, slower ball, knuckle ball or a bouncer, has failed, as he has ended up becoming cannon fodder for batsmen waiting to pounce on his friendly medium pace.

India vs Australia - "Some Players Are Overweight": Ex Pakistan Captain Slams India Stars' Fitness After Mohali Loss

The Indian men's cricket team is not looking in the best shape and that was visible yet again during the 1st T20I against Australia in Mohali on Tuesday. Just days after their unceremonious exit from the Asia Cup after back-to-back losses to Pakistan and Sri Lanka, the Indian team failed to defend a 200-run plus target and as a result conceded a 0-1 lead to Australia in the three-match series.

"Has Been A Very Good Finisher": Matthew Hayden Defends India Pacer's Death Bowling

Team India faced a terrible defeat against Australia in the first T20I of the three-match series in Mohali on Tuesday. Bhuvneshwar Kumar's death over bowling is real concern: Sunil Gavaskar - timesofindia.indiatimes.com - Australia - India - Sri Lanka - Pakistan

Bhuvneshwar Kumar's death over bowling is real concern: Sunil Gavaskar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar's poor show at the death overs is a "real concern" for India, going into next month's T20 World Cup. Bhuvneshwar has leaked quite a lot of runs at the death in the last few matches. His 16-run 19th over allowed Australia to pull off a record chase of 209 in the first T20I in Mohali on Tuesday night. "I don't think there was too much dew. We didn't see the fielders or bowlers trying to use the towel to try and dry their fingers. That's not an excuse. We didn't bowl well. For example, that 19th over... that's a real concern," Gavaskar said on 'Sports Today'. "Somebody like a Bhuvneshwar Kumar is going for runs every single time, when he is expected. In 18 deliveries he has bowled in three matches against Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and now Australia, he has given away 49 runs.
