BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — Diogo Dalot helped Portugal take control of its Nations League group by scoring his first two international goals in a 4-0 rout at the Czech Republic on Saturday.
Scotland beat Republic of Ireland 2-1 at home in their Nations League Group B1 game, coming from behind on Saturday night. The away side scored first when John Egan struck after 18 minutes, but two second-half goals won it for Scotland. Ad First Jack Hendry levelled shortly after the restart, before a Ryan Christie penalty on 82 minutes secured the win to take them top of their group.
Czech Republic 0-4 Portugal League A: Group 2
PRAGUE: Defender Diogo Dalot scored twice as Portugal eased past the Czech Republic 4-0 in Prague on Saturday to get within a point of reaching the UEFA Nations League play-offs. Portugal, who won the first edition of the Nations League in 2019, lead Group 2 on 10 points, two ahead of Spain who were stunned by Switzerland 2-1 at home on Saturday.
