"Even If Hardik Pandya Is Fit...": Rohan Gavaskar's Bold Shivam Dube T20 World Cup 2024 Remark

With Hardik Pandya still far from making a comeback, all-rounder Shivam Dube made a strong claim for a spot in India's T20 World Cup 2024 squad, smashing back-to-back half-centuries in the ongoing T20I series against Afghanistan. Dube's impressive show in the series has strengthened his case as the backup for injury-prone Hardik Pandya. But, the son of legendary Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, Rohan, feels Dube is making sure that he is on the plane to South Africa for the T20 World Cup next year even if Hardik is fit.

Teeger drama sees SA Jewish Board call for ICC intervention, Cricket SA meeting ends in stalemate

The South African Jewish Board of Deputies (SAJBD) is hoping the International Cricket Council (ICC) will intervene in the David Teeger matter after Tuesday's meeting with Cricket South Africa (CSA) didn't go as planned, something that left them seething, especially with what they perceived to be a lack of clarity around security matters that led to Teeger being shafted as captain.

Current Revenue Sharing Model Completely Broken: Cricket West Indies CEO

The big three in world cricket, including India, England and Australia should do more to save smaller Test playing teams and ICC's current revenue sharing model is "completely broken", said Cricket West Indies CEO Johnny Grave. India being the engine of the game pockets close to 40 percent of ICC's net annual earnings, followed by England and Australia, who get a single digit share. "The revenue-share model is completely broken. If we really want to operate as a cricketing community, we are only as strong as the weakest team, and we've got to change the mindset of bilateral cricket," Grave was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo. At the moment, the players of the teams like South Africa and West Indies are having to prioritise franchise cricket over their international commitments.

"Stress Is Going To Be Lot...": Under-fire Shreyas Iyer Breaks Silence Ahead Of India vs England Test Series

Shreyas Iyer has been under focus since India's Tour of South Africa ended. The middle-order batter did not have a good Test series as he could not post a single big score in four innings. After that he was not picked for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan and there were speculation that the reason was some disciplinary issue. However, Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid clarified that it was not the case and he was not picked as there were other batters in contention. However, Shreyas Iyer will be under focus in the upcoming five-match series against England.

"Few Ups And Downs...": Arshdeep Singh Opens Up 'Mixed Bag' 12 Months In Indian Cricket Team

Arshdeep Singh's chaotic journey in T20Is will reach its culmination point at the Chinnaswamy Stadium during the third match against Afghanistan on Wednesday, and he is banking on the recent experience of bowling with new-ball to ace the latest test of his skills. Arshdeep took four wickets from as many matches against the Aussies last year, but in each of those matches he conceded 41, 46, 44 and 40 runs in four overs. But against South Africa and Afghanistan, the left-arm pacer had relatively better outings – four wickets across four matches at an acceptable overall economy of eight.
