Sourav Ganguly Feels Gautam Gambhir Will Be Team India Head Coach After Rahul Dravid's Tenure

Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly has said that former India batter Gautam Gambhir is likely to be the Team India's head coach after the T20 World Cup. "I think he will be the next coach (for Team India)," Ganguly told media persons. With Rahul Dravid's tenure as head coach ending after the T20 World Cup, the BCCI is in the process of taking a decision. Rahul Dravid has expressed his intention to not renew the contract. "Every game I have coached for India is important. This is the last tournament in job. I have enjoyed coaching India, it is great to work with these boys. It is a special job. But there are schedules where I find myself that at this stage of my life, I won't be able to apply," Dravid had said earlier.

India Hold Massive 'Pitch' Advantage In T20 World Cup Final? Rahul Dravid Says...

Rahul Dravid said India have been remarkably consistent to play three ICC finals in the last 12 months and the outgoing head coach hoped the combination of smart cricket and luck will land his side an elusive ICC title. India have been the vastly superior team in the ongoing T20 World Cup, just like they were in the ODI World Cup at home last year where they faltered at the final hurdle against Australia. Now, Rohit and Co will face South Africa in the summit match at the Kensington Oval, hoping to win a global title after their triumph in the 2013 Champions Trophy.

Virat Kohli's Glorious T20 World Cup Streak Ends, Does A Forgettable First With 5th Single Digit Score

India's T20 World Cup semi-final against England turned out to be an another flop show for star batter Virat Kohli as he once again failed to deliver a strong performance. Asked to bat first, India started off on a good note with skipper Rohit Sharma and Kohli showing some intent. However, England pacer Reece Topley quickly struck and dismissed Kohli for nine in the third over of the innings. This was Kohli's fifth single-digit score at the ongoing T20 World Cup.
