CWG 2022: Judoka Shushila Devi wins silver in women's 48kg
Commonwealth Games on Monday. In a tight contest, Shushila fought hard before losing the final via 'Waza-Ari' in 4.25 minutes. It was the Indian's second silver medal at the showpiece. She had finished runners-up at the 2014 Glasgow Games as well.

After being on the sidelines since November 2020, Gloucester announced that the Italy international had returned to fitness and also signed a new deal for good measure. Polledri sustained a horrendous injury which saw him suffer a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, posterior cruciate ligament and lateral collateral ligament, as well as a fractured leg, torn calf and ruptured a hamstring off the bone – all from an innocuous slip. It was career-threatening but thankfully Polledri has recovered and is back in training. It is so good to see the powerful ball carrier return and hopefully he will be wreaking havoc soon.

This will be India's maiden final appearance in the women's fours format of the competition. The women's fours team comprising Lovely Choubey (lead), Pinki (second), Nayanmoni Saikia (third) and Rupa Rani Tirkey (skip) will face South Africa in the gold medal clash on Tuesday.
