Watch: Suryakumar Yadav's Massive Six En Route Half-Century Against Western Australia

Arguably the finest T20 batter in the Indian cricket team at present, Suryakumar Yadav looked in top form once again as Rohit Sharma's men took on Western Australia in a practice match at the WACA. Gearing up for the T20 World Cup, the Indian team is set to play a few practice contests, including one each against Australia and New Zealand, before the showpiece event begins. On Monday, it was Suryakumar Yadav's heroics with the bat that inspired India to a victory.

Star Sports - T20 World Cup: Bowling attack without Jasprit Bumrah will make teams reconsider batting approach against India, says Sanjay Bangar - timesofindia.indiatimes.com - Australia - South Africa - India - Hyderabad - Sanjay

T20 World Cup: Bowling attack without Jasprit Bumrah will make teams reconsider batting approach against India, says Sanjay Bangar

Former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar feels that opposition sides will reconsider their batting strategy because of the bowling attack not having Bumrah anymore. He added that in Bumrah's absence, he expects young left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh or either of Mohammed Shami and Deepak Chahar (if drafted in as an official replacement for Bumrah) to leave their mark in the showpiece event. "There were really small signs of concern, because when Jasprit Bumrah did not play the first match (against Australia at Mohali), then he played the second game (at Nagpur), and then suddenly he was rested (Bumrah played in Hyderabad but didn't play Thiruvananthapuram match due to back complaint). You suddenly start to think whether this is serious, because he had been out on rest and rehab for a long time, and he was somebody who was given a task of strengthening," said Bangar on 'Cricket Live' show on Star Sports.

"You Scored Hundred But I Missed Out On My Home Ground": How Shreyas Iyer Responded To Ishan Kishan's Question

The Indian cricket duo of Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer put on a fun-fest in the second ODI between India and South Africa in Ranchi. In what was Kishan's home ground, he produced fireworks with the bat, scoring 93 runs off just 84 balls with the help of 7 sixes and 4 fours. On the contrary, Iyer bagged a century, scoring 113 off 111 balls. Despite being the local boy, Kishan had to return to the pavilion without reaching the triple-digit score. He even pointed out the same to his partner-in-crime, Iyer, when the two had a chat after the game.

Didn't want to intrude your privacy, you were in beast mode: Shreyas Iyer to Ishan Kishan

Kishan was at his attacking best on Sunday, slamming 93 off 84 balls with the help of four boundaries and five hits over the fence at his home ground. Together with Iyer (113 not out), he shared 161 runs for the third wicket to guide India to seven wicket win and level the three-match series.

Exclusive: 'Exciting times lie ahead, would love to be part of any World Cup team', says Shubman Gill

World Cup, scheduled to be held in India, Shubman Gill will in all probability be one of the first-choice picks. The 23-year-old's game is modelled perfectly for ODIs and Tests and it is very good to see him not being pushed into T20Is, despite him being a regular in the IPL. He is yet to play a T20I match. The tournament that someone like Shubman will be eyeing the most right now is of course the next edition of the ODI World Cup next year.
