The incident happened in the 13th over with Pakistan 43/3 after opting to bat first in Sydney. Shakeel tried to duck Australia captain Pat Cummins' bouncer, but the ball did not rise as much as he had expected. Instead, the ball hit Shakeel on the chest and the physios came out to check on the batter. While a physio tried to massage his chest, Shakeel was still feeling the after effects of Cummins' delivery as he urged the medic not to rub the bruised part.

Saim, who debuted in T20 international cricket in March of last year, joins the team after putting up strong List A results for Karachi. He's never played a Test match before.
