SYDNEY :Australia speedster Spencer Johnson claimed a maiden five-wicket haul in international cricket as the hosts edged out Pakistan by 13 runs in the second Twenty20 International on Saturday to clinch the three-match series 2-0.
Speedster Spencer Johnson took 5-26 to propel Australia to a tense 13-run victory over Pakistan in Sydney on Saturday and seal their three-match T20 series with a game to go. Set just 148 to win after Haris Rauf claimed 4-22 to keep the hosts in check, Pakistan were all out for 134 in the final over despite a lively 52 from Usman Khan. Australia won a rain-hit first match in Brisbane by 29 runs with the final game at Hobart on Monday.

The BCCI has strong objected to Pakistan Cricket Board's purported move to take the Champions Trophy for a tour of the disputed 'Pakistan Occupied Kashmir' (POK), prompting the global body ICC to put the promotional event on hold. The tournament, last played in 2017, is already in limbo after the BCCI officially intimated ICC about Indian cricket team's inability to travel to Pakistan. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided to cancel the planned trophy tour of the Champions Trophy 2025 in Skardu, Murree, and Muzaffarabad - areas that fall within Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The decision comes after objections from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding the tour itinerary shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). A nationwide trophy tour was announced by the PCB from November 16 to 24. However, ICC has decided to leave the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) areas out of the tour. This decision came amid the ongoing controversy surrounding India's participation in the Champions Trophy after ICC informed the PCB that India will not be travelling to Pakistan for the matches.
Indian cricket team batter Sarfaraz Khan struggled massively during the practice session at Perth ahead of the first Test match against Australia, starting November 22, according to a report by The West Australian. The Indian cricketers started their practice at the WACA ground in Perth and proper net sessions were held for all the batters. The report said that Sarfaraz looked like a "batter who hasn't played outside of the subcontinent" as he struggled to deal with the bounce of the pitch. He was bothered by short balls and he was guilty of chopping balls outside his off-stump onto the wickets.
