"If There's Dent In ICC...": PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi's Blunt Message To ICC Chairman Jay Shah

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, on Saturday said that an International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting regarding the 2025 Champions Trophy has been postponed. He stated that updates would be provided once details were finalised. "We had a meeting (with the ICC) today, it's been postponed. Once the details have been finalised, we'll update you. We will not disappoint the nation. Talks are still ongoing, but I do not want to say anything that is premature. We are aiming to achieve the best for Pakistan and international cricket. If the ICC progresses, cricket will progress. If there is a dent in the ICC, it will be felt across the world," Mohsin Naqvi said in a video posted by PCB on X.

"BCCI Always...": World Cup Winner's Unabashed View On India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy Row

Former all-rounder Yusuf Pathan, member of India's 2011 World Cup and 2007 T20 World Cup-winning teams, backed the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) decision of not sending the Indian team to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy next year. India has held its stance firm on not sending the team across the border for the marquee event which will be held in the early months of next year. Yusuf welcomed the decision and lavished praise on the Indian cricket board for thinking about the safety and the interest of its players. "BCCI always thinks about the players and their safety. So whatever BCCI does is in the interest of the players and the nation," Pathan told ANI. While the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was adamant about hosting the entire tournament in Pakistan, the recent developments have suggested that the stalemate has been broken.

England Players Could Boycott Hundred Against RCB's Stance On NOC Policy

A group of "50 leading England cricketers" could boycott next year's Hundred competition to protest the England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) overhaul of its NOC policy, which players need to participate in franchise tournaments, according to a report. It was revealed last week that the ECB intended to not issue NOCs for tournaments which have their dates clashing with the English summer, unless the cricketer "is on a white-ball only deal with their county", reported The Telegraph. "This includes the Pakistan Super League, which moves to a slot concurrent to the Indian Premier League (which is controversially exempt from the policy) in April and May next year," the report said.
