R Ashwin "Could Take Over ICC Or BCCI": Huge Prediction Made On Spin Great

As Ravichandran Ashwin, one of cricket's most celebrated spinners, left fans and experts shocked by his sudden exit from international cricket, the former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif showered huge praise on the India star for his tactical acumen and sharp cricketing brain, saying the 38-year-old has the ability to "take over the BCCI and ICC in future". Ashwin called time on his prolific career at the end of the Gabba Test, which ended in a draw on Wednesday, leaving a rich legacy as one of India's finest match-winners. His last international game was the day-night Test against Australia in Adelaide, where he took 1-53 in his 18 overs and made 29 runs with the bat in the losing cause.

"PCB Gained More Than BCCI": After ICC's Compromise Formula on Champions Trophy, Pakistan Legend's Mega Dig

Pakistan's former players have expressed their relief after the ICC reached a breakthrough in the Champions Trophy impasse with India playing all its matches of the mega event at a neutral venue instead of host country under a reciprocal arrangement. Aayushi Shukla Stars As India Beat Sri Lanka And Storm Into U19 Women's T20 Asia Cup Final

A rampaging India extended their unbeaten run at the U19 Women's T20 Asia Cup as they reached the final with a four-wicket win over Sri Lanka in their last Super Four contest here Friday. Aayushi Shukla emerged the wrecker-in-chief with a four-wicket haul as the left-arm spinner conceded only 10 runs in her four overs to help India restrict Sri Lanka to 98 for nine after skipper Niki Prasad opted to bowl. Parunika Sisodia, who also bowls left-arm spin, chipped in with two scalps. Such was India's domination that only two Sri Lankan batters -- Sumudu Nisansala (21) and captain Manudi Nanayakkara (33) -- could manage double-digit scores.

"Pakistan Not Losing Money": Ex-India Star On Why Champions Trophy Model Is Bad News For India

The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that next year's Champions Trophy will be held in a hybrid model, with India's matches not taking place in Pakistan. In return, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) asked for a similar methodology to be used for ICC events taking place in India. The PCB's request was agreed, meaning Pakistan would not travel to India for any ICC event till 2027.

After Champions Trophy Debacle, Pakistan Hockey Face Visa Issue To Travel To India

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has been told to secure government clearance before confirming participation in the FIH Junior World Cup scheduled in India at the end of next year. PHF Secretary-General Rana Mujahid said the team would require a No Objection Certificate from the federal government for the national squad to travel for the FIH event to be held in December of 2025. "Normally we have always been permitted by our government to play in major events in India in recent years despite the strained relations between the two countries. But now we have been informed to first get clearance before finalising the team and confirming participation," he told the media here.
