IOA threatens EFI of suspension in case involving Indian horsemen impersonating as Nepalese riders
Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has warned the Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) of suspension/withdrawal of its membership after it was apprised of the incident involving Indian horsemen impersonating as Nepalese riders during the Tent Pegging World Cup Qualifiers in Greater Noida in March last year. IOA president Narinder Dhruv Batra has directed the EFI to apprise him of the factual status at the earliest, as such violations by the federation can't be ignored. In its letter dated February 7, 2022, Batra referred to the legal case filed in the Delhi High Court by the president of the Rajasthan Equestrian Association (REA), Raghuvendra Singh Dundlod, in the controversy involving the participation of Indian riders impersonating as Nepalese citizens at the Tent Pegging WC qualifier.

All-rounder Daniel Sams has been added to Australia's T20I squad for the series against Sri Lanka on Friday. Sams has been included as a replacement of batter Travis Head, who will be missing out the starting of the T20I series to play a Sheffield Shield match for South Australia ahead of the Pakistan tour. Head played his last T20I in 2018 but was recalled to play in the series against Sri Lanka. He had decided to play some first class cricket before Australia's tour to Pakistan.

Although Kumble retired more than a decade ago, fans still remembered his astounding achievement and lauded him on Twitter on Monday. The BCCI also took to the social media, showing India head coach Rahul Dravid practicing some deliveries in the nets and captioned it as, "Celebrating the 23rd anniversary of @anilkumble1074's 10-74".
