The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramiz Raja has sanctioned one million rupees for the national team head coach Saqlain Mushtaq's knee treatment. According to a report in the 'Daily Jang' newspaper, Ramiz decided to release the amount immediately after the national team doctor Najeeb Soomro sent in a request to him that one million rupees be provided for the treatment of a chronic knee problem that Saqlain had been facing for a while now. The amount was sought while the team was in the Netherlands recently for an ODI series and where Saqlain sought some treatment.

Legendary Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar used to bowl bullets when he was still playing, and now he fires some with his blunt analyses, mainly of his own team's performances. But he also knew how to have fun in his playing days, and still remembers how to continue doing so. On Saturday, Akhtar took to Twitter to share a gem of a throwback picture, where he can be seen in a striped shirt and high-waisted trousers, rolled up above his ankles, as he enjoyed the sea at a beach in Karachi.
Trailing 1-2 in the seven-match series against England, the Babar Azam-led side would look to get back on track in the fourth T20I slated to be played on Sunday evening at the National Stadium, Karachi. In the third T20I, both the bowling and batting departments did not click for Pakistan as they first conceded 221 runs in 20 overs, and with the bat, they were not able to put up a fight, as the hosts were restricted to 158/8. Pakistan would look to do some course corrections and find the right balance ahead of the much-anticipated T20 World Cup.
Focus on form of Harshal, Chahal in deciding T20 International todayHYDERABAD: After crashing out of the Asia Cup and with just under a month remaining before they lock horns with arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening game of the T20 World Cup Down Under, the Indian team wanted to iron out some of their 'deficiencies' in the three-match series against Australia. But the 'depleted' Aussies outplayed their experienced rivals in the opening match at Mohali earlier this week to jolt the hosts. However, a 6-wicket win in the rain-hit 8-overs-a-side game at Nagpur kept the hosts alive in the series. The action now moves to the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium where the teams will lock horns in the third and final game of the series on Sunday.
