Defending champions, D’Tigress of Nigeria yesterday defeated hosts, Rwanda, to qualify for the final of the ongoing FIBA Afrobasket Championship holding in Kigali. D’Tigress won the largely one-sided game by 79 to 48 points to extend their unbeaten run to 23 games. They will face the winner of the second semifinal between Senegal and Mali in the final on Sunday Sunday’s final would be Nigeria’s fourth consecutive final following victories in the 2017, 2019 and 2021 editions of the tournament.
