New Zealand get chance for rapid revenge in home Tests against England

England beat the Black Caps by seven wickets in the third Test at Headingley on Monday to sweep the series but they might find New Zealand a tougher prospect on home tracks in Wellington and Tauranga in the new year. The series opener at Bay Oval will be the first day-night Test in New Zealand since 2018, when England were beaten by an innings and 49 runs at Eden Park. The Test world champions will also host a two-match series against Sri Lanka in March, New Zealand Cricket said on Tuesday as it announced the 2022/23 home international schedule. The Black Caps are currently languishing in eighth place in the World Test Championship standings and will need strong performances on home soil if they are to have any chance of defending their title.

India vs England 2022: Ben Stokes vows same England 'mindset' against India after New Zealand rout

A first series under the new leadership duo of Stokes and red-ball head coach Brendon McCullum, a former New Zealand captain, ended with an emphatic seven-wicket win in Leeds on Monday that sealed a 3-0 triumph over the Black Caps. For the third time in as many matches, England made light of a potentially tricky run chase, with Jonny Bairstow ending a pursuit of 296 by smashing a six on his Headingley home ground. England, however, have just a few days to savour their success before facing India at Edgbaston in a match starting on Friday. The fifth Test was rescheduled after the fixture was postponed last September following a Covid outbreak in the India camp.

"We Had Our Differences": Wasim Akram Opens Up On His Equation With Waqar Younis

Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis formed one of the greatest bowling combinations to ever play the sport and the opposition batters always had to be at their best whenever they came up against this deadly bowling duo. Akram has now opened up on his equation with Waqar, admitting that both of them had their differences but there was always a healthy competition.
