Watch: Batter's Epic Fail As He Attempts Joe Root-esque Reverse-Sweep

Joe Root is one of the classiest batters going around these days. Apart from being one of the most prolific with the bat in Tests, he also displays exemplary technique and watching him at the crease is almost poetry in motion. However, as good as he is in displaying classical techniques, he is just as adept at innovating and playing reverse-sweeps off spinners and reverse-scoops off pacers, as he displayed during England's recent Test wins over New Zealand and India.

Watch: Simi Singh Survives As Umpire Overturns Decision In A Bizarre Incident During Ireland vs New Zealand 2nd ODI

New Zealand defeated Ireland by three wickets in the second ODI of the three-match series on Tuesday. During the game, a bizarre incident caught everyone's attention as umpire Paul Reynolds was forced to reverse his decision after ruling a batter out. New Zealand seamer Blair Tickner trapped Ireland all-rounder Simi Singh outside off stump. It was a short ball from Tickner that found the edge of Singh's willow and went directly into the hands of wicketkeeper Tom Latham. Umpire Reynolds raised his finger but the decision was changed later on as Tickner had dropped his towel during his run-up to deliver the ball.

Adam Milne To Miss Remainder Of New Zealand's European Tour

New Zealand fast bowler Adam Milne has been ruled out of the remainder of the team's limited-overs tour of Europe due to an Achilles injury. Milne felt pain in his left Achilles during the team's first net session in Ireland and a scan this week revealed he would need some rest and rehabilitation. The recovery timeline for the injury means he will likely only be available for the final two matches of the Tour against the Netherlands. With extra bowling cover needed in the squad for the remainder of the tour, the selectors felt Jacob Duffy was deserving of selection and that he had been impressive in his time away with the Test and ODI squads in England and Ireland respectively.
