Star pacer Shaheen Afridi, who recently led Lahore Qalandars to their second consecutive Pakistan Super League (PSL) title, returned to action during the first T20I against New Zealand at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. However, Shaheen, who rested for the T20I series against Afghanistan, didn't take too long to make his mark, striking in his second over to remove Will Young, who went for a booming off-drive but only managed to get a thick inside edge and the ball rattled his middle and off-stumps.
After successfully undergoing surgery on his lower back, star India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has began his rehab at the National Cricket Academy, the Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) announced in a statement on Saturday. After missing the T20 World Cup, Bumrah was picked for the home ODI series versus Sri Lanka in January this year. Since then, he has been out of the team, and is also not part of Mumbai Indians' squad for the ongoing IPL 2023.
Pakistan marked captain Babar Azam's 100th T20 international in perfect style with an emphatic 88-run victory over New Zealand in the first match of the series in Lahore on Friday.

After failing to register big scores in his first three outings, Harry Brook finaly lit up the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 with a blistering century for SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Brook spoiled the party of KKR as he hit 12 fours and three sixes in 55-ball 100 that took SRH to 228/4. Brook described it as "a special night" and said that "this knock is definitely up the there" with my other top performances. After SRH's 23-run win over KKR at the Eden Gardens, Brook was seen feasting on some local delicacies.
A few days after former New Zealand pacer Simon Doull had questioned his scoring pace, India and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star batter Virat Kohli has given a fitting reply to the critics. During RCB's game against the Lucknow Super Giants earlier this week, Kohli scored a half-century, after scoring at will during the powerplay. However, his strike-rate dropped massively after the field restrictions were removed. Doull, who was on commentary duty, suggested that Kohli was concerned about his milestone.
Viral Kohli is always an entertaining person on the field. His batting is a treat to watch, especially with the way he finds a way to score even in the toughest of situations. After a couple of years, when he could not score a ton, Kohli has been in form since the 2022 Asia Cup. Even in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, he has scored two half-centuries in three games so far. Kohli is also known for his dance skills. Several of his dance videos have gone viral. Even in a recent match, he grooved with Shah Rukh Khan on a Pathaan song. Now, Kamaal R Khan, whose Twitter Bio describes him as 'Critic and Trade Analyst', has a hilarious proposal for Kohli.
