Star shuttlers PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen will be eager to regain their respective form as they lead the Indian challenge at the Kumamoto Masters Japan Super 500 tournament beginning in Kumamoto on Tuesday. Both players have struggled to find their best form following disappointing performances at the Paris Olympics. While Sindhu reached the quarterfinals at the Denmark Open Super 750, Lakshya Sen suffered early exits at both the Arctic Open Super 500 and Denmark Open. Both have struggled to close out deciders after staying competitive in their matches.

India Look To Defend Title On Home Soil In Women's Asian Champions Trophy Hockey

Having struggled to win matches the entire year, the Indian women's hockey team will look to start afresh in a new Olympic cycle by defending its Asian Champions Trophy (ACT) title at home, beginning with a clash against lower-ranked Malaysia in Rajgir, Bihar on Monday. India have won the title twice in 2016 (Singapore) and 2023 (Ranchi) in the seven editions of the tournament so far. After failing to qualify for the Paris Olympics, the Indian team lost 13 matches and won just two (with one draw) out of 16 in the women's FIH Pro League this year, but will hope to make a turnaround in their fortune with a strong performance in the ACT.

Marizanne Kapp And Ayabonga Khaka Rested For South Africa's T20Is Against England

Marizanne Kapp and Ayabonga Khaka have been rested from South Africa's three T20I matches against England, starting from November 24. The duo though will be back for the ODI leg of the multi-format series. Apart from the duo, Mieke de Ridder is also not a part of the T20I series, while young leg-spinner Seshnie Naidu will be completing her matric exams and would be aiming to represent South Africa in the 2025 ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup in Malaysia.
