HOUSTON — Israel Adesanya was the story all week. His new, lucrative contract with the UFC. His teammates from City Kickboxing fighting on the same card. His current future stardom.
Israel Adesanya retained his middleweight championship on Sunday morning with a unanimous decision in his rematch against Robert Whittaker at UFC 271 in Houston, Texas.
Australian UFC star Robert Whittaker will fight Israel Adesanya for the second time for the middleweight title, but not before an undercard including fellow Aussie heavyweight Tai Tuivasa up against Derrick Lewis.
