BCCI Sent Message Against Gautam Gambhir, Legend's Name Proposed As Test Coach

Is Gautam Gambhir being taken seriously by the Indian cricket team members? Former England spinner Monty Panesar has raised an important question as Team India deals with the after-effects of the 3-1 drubbing by Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Since Gautam Gambhir became the Indian cricket team head coach, the side lost an ODI series in Sri Lanka and also got clean-sweeped by New Zealand at home in a Test series.

Rohit Sharma Bats With Ajinkya Rahane in Mumbai's Ranji Trophy Nets, Sets Example

Close on the heels of India's demoralising Test series defeat in Australia, captain Rohit Sharma has joined the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team's nets session on Tuesday morning and batted alongside Ajinkya Rahane. Rohit, who managed just 31 runs across three Tests in the recently-concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy Down Under before "opting out" of the series-decider in Sydney, was part of a meeting that was held on Sunday to review the team's performance along with head coach Gautam Gambhir and BCCI's new secretary Devajit Saikia.

Golf: Veer Ahlawat Hopes To Make His Mark In USD 8mn Dubai Desert Classic

A year after gaining attention by finishing runner-up in the Indian Open, Veer Ahlawat now steps up at the USD 8 million Dubai Desert Classic. Ahlawat, who turns 29 in two months, may not have won in India last year, but his second-place finish did help him win the Order of Merit of India, which earned him a DP World Tour Card. Ahlawat is one of the two Indians in the field in the Dubai Desert Classic this year. The other one being Shubhankar Sharma, who is making his eighth appearance in this event, often labelled as the Major of the Middle East.

Rejuvenated PV Sindhu, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty, Lakshya Sen Eye Good Show At India Open 2025

The likes of PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen and even the double combination of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty needed a break to recuperate from injuries and niggles and rejuvenate themselves after the arduous Paris Olympic campaign. Having taken their time by spending time away from the circuit, the top stars of Indian badminton are set to unleash their best on home turf as the Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2025 kicks off at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall at the Indira Gandhi Arena in New Delhi from Tuesday.   The prestigious event, which is part of the HSBC BWF World Tour Super 750 series, has attracted the world's best badminton players including the likes of Olympic champions Viktor Axelsen and An Se-Young among others.   Sindhu, the 2017 champion, took a long break after the Paris Olympics before returning to the circuit at the end of the year. She also got married in December and is looking forward to making a strong statement with her performance here.   "This will be my first tournament after marriage and also in the new year. So, everything is new and I want to give my best in the competition in front of the home fans... After the Paris Olympics, I wanted some time to recover physically and emotionally and the break has helped me get back rejuvenated," said Sindhu at the launch press conference of the Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2025 on Monday.   Sindhu will open her campaign against Shuo Yung Sung of Chinese Taipei.
