Star sprinter Hima Das, who is gearing up for the new season after serving a 16-month suspension for a whereabouts failure, visited the Maha Kumbh and took a dip in the Holy Ganga, her spiritual guru has said. The 2018 Asian Games gold-medallist, who hails from a remote village of Dhing in Assam and is nicknamed the 'Dhing Express', came here along with her friends after taking blessings from her guru Keshav Das Ji Maharaj. Maharaj is affiliated with the Nirmohi Akhara. "When Hima learned about the Northeast camp (at the Maha Kumbh), she couldn't resist visiting. BCCI Breaks Silence On Reported Refusal To Sport Pakistan Logo On Champions Trophy Jersey

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finally broken its long silence over Indian cricket team's jersey for the Champions Trophy 2025, after reports claimed that the side won't use the logo of 'Pakistan' - the designated hosts - on its jersey. Generally, the norm is that the official logo of any ICC event will have the host country's name. When Pakistan came to India in 2023 for the 50-over ICC World Cup, Babar Azam and his men duly sported the host country's name on their jerseys as part of the tournament protocol.

A true domestic stalwart, Karun Nair has made heads turn in the Indian cricketing spectrum with his exemplary performances. Nair's consistent show helped Vidarbha reach the final of India's premier 50-over domestic competition, though his team suffered a defeat in the final against Karnataka. Nair, who has featured for India in 6 Tests and 2 ODIs, last donned the national team jersey in 2017. His breathtaking show in the Vijay Hazare Trophy saw many former cricketers rally behind his name, though the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selection committee chief Ajit Agarkar couldn't fix him in the Champions Trophy squad.
