Champions Trophy Stadium Handover Deadline Today, Work To Be Done By...

Amid rising concerns over the readiness of Champions Trophy venues in the country, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore would be handed over to the ICC on February 11, a little over a week before the start of the ODI showpiece. The PCB posted a video of the new-look stadium on 'X' and wrote, "Under the lights, it's a sight to behold!...We can't wait to welcome fans, officials and teams for the tri-nation series and Champions Trophy." The mega-event begins on February 19. A Board source told PTI that the stadium will be handed over to the International Cricket Council (ICC), "for branding and other stuff on February 11" after Pakistan's tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa.

To Watch Virat Kohli In Delhi's Ranji Trophy Match, Class 2 Girl Bunks School

Thousands of delirious fans screamed and cheered at the mere mention of his name as Virat Kohli's unmatched aura dominated the Ranji Trophy fixture between Delhi and Railways in Delhi on Thursday, triggering an unprecedented rush for seats in the stands that forced administrators to make additional last-minute arrangements. The DDCA (Delhi and Districts Cricket Association) had projected a crowd of around 10,000 for Kohli's homecoming, which is unheard for a Ranji Trophy game. But such was his magnetic pull that even those lofty calculations went for a toss.

Virat Kohli Does Not Get To Bat On Day 1, Attracts Crowd Of Over 15,000 For Ranji Trophy

Upendra Yadav negated Delhi's early advantage with a resolute 95 to steer Uttar Pradesh to 241 on day one of their Ranji Trophy tie dominated by Virat Kohli's grand return to domestic red-ball cricket after 13 years. The pace trio of Navdeep Saini, Siddhant Sharma and Money Grewal exploited the early morning conditions to reduce Railways to 66 for five in the first session before Upendra and veteran spinner Karn Sharma (50 off 105) forged a 104-run stand for the sixth wicket.

Virat Kohli's Advice Backfired For India Pacer In Australia. Ravichandran Ashwin Reveals Details

Ravichandran Ashwin retired from international cricket in December last year. He called time on his career after scalping 537 Test wickets, the second-most by any Indian bowler. Apart from this, the off-spinner picked 156 ODI wickets and 72 in T20Is. What made Ashwin special was his evolving game sense. He never feared experimenting on his bowling to challenge the batters of the modern generation. This is the reason the spinner was a threat to even the best of the batters, especially in the longest format of the game. Ashwin is someone who possesses great knowledge of cricket and some terrific analysis. These all helped him become a legendary cricketer.

In a video that went viral on social media earlier, Vaishali, who is the sister of R Praggnanandhaa, can be seen extending her hand before the start of a fourth-round contest against Yakubboev, who sat down without responding to it, leaving the Indian visibly awkward.

Rohit Sharma Won't Have To Set Foot On Pakistan Soil For CT 2025 As Report Says ICC, PCB Cancel...

Whether or not Rohit Sharma will go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025 captains' meet has been a matter of intense speculation. The BCCI was against the Indian cricket team going to Pakistan - the designated hosts of the Champions Trophy - and hence the tournament was shifted to a hybrid model, where India's games will be played in Dubai. Then came the issue of Rohit Sharma travelling to Pakistan for the customary captains' meet - a common practice ahead of any big ICC event.
