Legendary India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has put out a bold claim regarding who he believes could become the "poster boy" of Pakistan cricket. Ahead of the tournament, Ashwin singled out one player to star for the hosts during the event. The twist is, it wasn't star batter Babar Azam or captain and wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan.

The 36-year-old Kohli's recent struggles in Test cricket have led to discussions about his career, but he has no plans to retire and aims to play in the 2027 ODI World Cup. "Virat will score heavily this year and I think he's going to start doing that from here. I think Virat is there and thereabouts. He will be among runs very, very soon," Uthappa, who has played with Kohli for India and RCB, told PTI Videos in an exclusive interview on Wednesday.
Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has reflected on India's struggles while chasing in ICC tournaments, emphasizing the importance of setting targets in major finals. "We couldn't chase in the 2015 World Cup against Australia. We couldn't chase the total in the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2017 final. We tried chasing in 2019, but we couldn't do it. We didn't have to chase in the 2013 Champions Trophy final. So, it's important to put runs on the board in a big final. Sometimes, we make mistakes, but we learn from them. I don't think we'll make those mistakes in 2025," Raina said, as quoted from JioHotstar.
Chakravarthy was a last-minute addition to the India squad for Champions Trophy with opener Yashasvi Jaiswal making way for the mystery spinner. Chakravarthy has got the opportunity following a stellar season in the T20 format. When asked about the spinner's inclusion, Rohit said Chakravarthy was picked for a reason. "He doesn't throw many variations in the net. He throws the ball in the same way. Maybe he doesn't even want to show us what he has (laughs). But that is a good thing. He has got a certain weapon that he wants to put out there when it actually matters.
