"Bring In Someone Who Understands...": Harbhajan Singh Demands Separate T20 Coach For Team India

India won the inaugural edition of T20 World Cup in the year 2008. Since then, the side has entered the final of the event only once in 2014 where it lost to Sri Lanka. Barring the two editions, India have struggled to live up to the expectations at the global event. In the latest edition that took place in 2022, India were eliminated in the semi-final after being outplayed by England by 10 wickets. Amid the struggles of the Indian men's cricket team, former spinner Harbhajan Singh has suggested that the team could appoint a designated T20 coach, saying that another coach could take the responsibility of the team in other formats.

David Rudisha Inspires Indian Marathoners To Qualify For Asian Games

Kenya's legendary world 800m record holder and double Olympic champion David Rudisha has come to New Delhi to inspire a host of Indian marathon and long distance runners. The simplicity of the genius Rudisha is awe-inspiring. Speaking at the pre-marathon press conference, Kenya's legendary middle-distance runner pointed out that this was the last opportunity and platform for India's top marathoners to win their berths for the Hangzhou Games in September. "The weather is perfect. I believe the flat course is also ideal for a marathon. So, remain confident, don't lose sight of your targets, and give it your all," he said. "The marathon is a very special race, the oldest sport in the world," he said, admiring the sport that requires extreme resilience and endurance. "I can imagine how tough running 42 kilometre is. My event lasts just 1 minute and 40 seconds," Rudisha, who is the only athlete to ever run the 800m in 1 minute and 41 seconds, added, amidst thunderous applause.

"You Will Falter": Ravichandran Ashwin Gives Honest Verdict On 'Bazball'

England have been trying to adapt a style of fast-paced batting called ‘Bazball' for quite some time. The style, which is named after their head coach Brendon McCullum, has seen batsmen scoring runs at extremely quick speeds in Test matches and it has resulted in some brilliant wins against Pakistan and New Zealand. However, India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin did not sound quite convinced with the aggressive style of batting and said that it will surely falter in certain kind of conditions.

"Ravindra Jadeja And...": Ex BCCI Selector Picks Likely Candidates For India's Test Vice-Captaincy

With a few days to go for the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, the Indian cricket team faces a few questions. The most prominent being the place of opener KL Rahul in the XI. The star batter has scored only 38 in the first two Tests. Former players, including Venkatesh Prasad, has been questioning why Rahul has been getting a long rope. With a highest score of 23 in his last 10 Test innings, Rahul's place is under scrutiny as India chase a third successive victory that would seal their place in the final of the World Test Championship in June.

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Kamran Akmal has finally opened up about his on-field spat with Ishant Sharma during an India-Pakistan match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in December 2012. Akmal claimed that it was Ishant who initially started abusing him and, as a result, he got it back. He then went on to reveal that it was Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni who came in to settle the matter. As quoted by cricket pundit Farid Khan, Akmal said: "Ishant Sharma did hurl abuse, he got all the abuses back too (Ishant ne gaali diya par baad mein usko bhi bohot pada). MS Dhoni was really nice and Suresh Raina came and settled it down. India were losing and it happened in the heat of the moment.
