A big development has emerged from the divorce case featuring Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife estranged Dhanashree Verma. According to an order by the Bombay High Court, the couple has been allowed to waive a 6-month cooling period post-divorce. The honourable court has directed the family court to decide the divorce plea of cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his estranged wife Dhanashree Verma by March 20 because of the Punjab Kings cricketer's participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season from March 22.
Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene did not give a time frame for Jasprit Bumrah's return to competitive cricket, and said the pace spearhead's absence will be a massive “challenge” for his side in the IPL 2025. Bumrah will miss a few initial games of the tournament as he is currently recuperating from a back injury at the BCCI Centre of Excellence at Bengaluru. “Jasprit Bumrah is at the NCA. We have to wait and see their feedback on him. At the moment it is going well, the progress is on a day to day basis,” said Jayawardene during MI's pre-season press meet here on Wednesday.

South Africa all-rounder Corbin Bosch has opened up on the decision to withdraw from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in favour of a move in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Peshawar Zalmi had signed Bosch in the Diamond category for the upcoming PSL 10, but he opted out of the tournament and joined IPL franchise Mumbai Indians instead as a replacement for injured compatriot Lizaad Williams. Following his decision to opt out of the PSL, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that it would send a legal notice to Bosch for violating his contract.
Despite India's Champions Trophy 2025 title win, legendary former India captain Sourav Ganguly has voiced a big concern with the team. Ganguly stated that India still have a few flaws in Test cricket, particularly when it comes to batting, saying that players like Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant need to step up and make big scores in red ball cricket. He emphasized the need for the rising crop of Indian Test stars to contribute more with the bat away from home.
