Umran Malik "Not Handled Well By SRH": Zaheer Khan To NDTV, Says 'Guidance' Was Missing

From being a revelation at the IPL 2022, Umran Malik has practically become a no-show at the IPL 2023. The speedster from Jammu and Kashmir who impressed everybody with his express pace in the last edition of the IPL, has been sparingly used by his franchise SunRisers Hyderabad. He played only seven games in the IPL 2023, in which he took five wickets. His economy (10.35 RPO) was not great either. After the poor show, Malik was dropped from the former champions' playing XI and last featured in a match on April 29.

IPL 'Needs A Little Bit Of Confrontation': Ravi Shastri's Take On Altercations Between Stars

Apart from the high-octane action on the field in the IPL 2023, one major talking point in the cash-rich league has been the altercations between stars of various teams. Be it Royal Challengers Bangalore star Virat Kohli's on-field heated exchange with Lucknow Super Giants mentor Gautam Gambhir and pacer Naveen-ul-Haq. Or, KKR captain Nitish Rana's angry words with Mumbai Indians' Hrithik Shokeen. The on-field confrontations seem to be too many. Former India head coach Ravi Shastri feels that the IPL needs some on-field confrontations, which will spicen up things and pave the way for more rivalries.

"It Just Keeps Coming Back": England Pacer Concerned About Jofra Archer's Injury

England's fast bowler Jofra Archer is set to miss the Test against Ireland and the Ashes series starting from June 16. The veteran pacer James Anderson expressed sympathy for his fellow teammate and said that he is gutted for him because he knows how hard-working Jofra is and he is trying to get back to fitness. Jofra Archer played a cameo in the Mumbai Indians' campaign for IPL 2023 as he was ruled out of the squad with his injuries niggling him. Archer is suffering from a stress fracture in his right elbow. He had not played Test Cricket since February 2021. He could play only five matches for MI and took only two wickets at a disappointing economy rate of 9.50.

"Decision To Bowl...": Shikhar Dhawan's Honest Assessment After Loss To DC

Following the 15-run loss to Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper Shikhar Dhawan said that his decision to bowl a spinner in the final over backfired and his bowlers could not take wickets when the ball was moving around during the powerplay. Livingstone's breathtaking knock of 94(48) proved to be insufficient against DC in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the HPCA Stadium on Wednesday.
