During the 30th over of the Australian innings, there was a drinks break and Smith had a chair on the ground as well as an ice pack in order to keep himself cool. It look like he was feeling better but one over later, he once again asked for drinks to come in with the chair and the ice pack.

Naruka performed well and looked on course to win the gold, having not missed a shot until the business end of the final. Naruka finished his last round with 10/10 to finish his event with an impressive 58/60. But it was still not good enough for gold as Kuwait's Abdullah Alrashidi equalled the world record with a perfect 60/60 to finish on top of the podium.

Indian sailor Vishnu Saravanan won a bronze, the country's first-ever medal in the men's dinghy ILCA-7 event at the Asian Games here on Wednesday. Saravanan finished with a net score of 34 points to miss the silver medal by just one point in the gruelling 11-race competition. South Korea's Jeemin HA took the second spot with 33 points. Singapore's Jun Han Ryan Lo claimed the gold with a net score of 26. Lack of wind, however, denied India a medal in women's single dinghy ILCA-6 event where Nethra Kumanan had to settle for a disappointing fourth place finish after race No 12, which was to be the final one in the category, was cancelled.

A spirited Indian women's fencing team bowed out in the quarterfinals in epee section, while the men went down tamely in the last-16 stage of the foil event at the Asian Games on Wednesday. The women's team of Taniksha Khatri, Jyotika Dutta, Ena Erora lost 25-45 against Korea to end their campaign. India were trailing by three touches after second round, but the Koreans went on to stretch their lead before sealing the issue by a 20-point margin. Earlier, the the Indian women's team beat Jordan 45-36 in the quarterfinals.

Asian Games 2023: Esha Singh Bags Silver In Women's 25m Pistol Final

Pistol Shooter Esha Singh secured a silver medal for India in the 25 m women's pistol final at the ongoing Hangzhou Asian Games on Wednesday. With a total of 34 points, she secured a silver medal. The gold medal went to China's Rui Liu who had 38 points. The bronze medal was bagged by South Korea's Jiin Yaang, who had 29 points. Manu Bhaker, the Indian olympian had a disappointing outing with just 21 points, which earned her the fifth position. Manu Bhaker's poor performance in the final was largely due to a pistol malfunction.
