CAPE TOWN :Seamer Mohammed Siraj took a career-best 6-15 as India skittled hosts South Africa for 55 inside a session on day one of the second and final test at Newlands, before reaching 111 for four at tea in their reply on Wednesday.

Kohli, a previous top-ranked batter who fell out of the top 10 in mid-2022, has moved up four spots to ninth place with scores of 38 and 76, but is still 103 rating points behind top-ranked Kane Williamson of New Zealand (864 points). The organisers of the league are claiming it to be "India's pioneering tennis ball T10 cricket tournament to be played inside a stadium." Kareena announced the news on her Instagram handle. "Cricket, a tradition we cherish, a love we share…. It runs in the family after all. So thrilled to announce our ownership of Team Kolkata in the Indian Street Premier League! Members of a pro-Palestine group raised anti-Israel slogans outside the Newlands Cricket Stadium before the start of the second Test between India and South Africa on Wednesday and demanded the sacking of national U-19 skipper David Teeger for his comments in support of the Israeli Army. The small group of protestors displayed placards which read "Boycott, Apartheid Israel" and "Smash Apartheid Israel for a Six". They also shouted slogans asking for an independent Palestine. Israel launched a military offensive in the Gaza Strip after the Hamas militant group attacked the Jewish nation on October 7 last year, killing 1,200 people.

Australian cricket team batter David Warner named former South Africa pacer Dale Steyn as the toughest bowler that he has faced during his illustrious career. Warner called time on his ODI career and will also retire from Test cricket after playing his farewell game against Pakistan starting Wednesday. Steyn is one of the most celebrated fast bowler in recent history and he is South Africa's highest wicket-taker in Tests, with 439 wickets in 93 matches. Warner recalled a tough duel with the pacer during a 2016-17 home series and said how Steyn troubled both him and Shaun Marsh with his express pace.
