Current Revenue Sharing Model Completely Broken: Cricket West Indies CEO

The big three in world cricket, including India, England and Australia should do more to save smaller Test playing teams and ICC's current revenue sharing model is "completely broken", said Cricket West Indies CEO Johnny Grave. India being the engine of the game pockets close to 40 percent of ICC's net annual earnings, followed by England and Australia, who get a single digit share. "The revenue-share model is completely broken. If we really want to operate as a cricketing community, we are only as strong as the weakest team, and we've got to change the mindset of bilateral cricket," Grave was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo. At the moment, the players of the teams like South Africa and West Indies are having to prioritise franchise cricket over their international commitments.

First Time In History! Indian Cricket Team On Verge Of Beating Pakistan To Major T20I Feat

The Indian cricket team has been quite impressive in the ongoing T20I series against Afghanistan and a win in the final game of the three-match series can earn them a unique distinction in the shortest format of the sport. The Rohit Sharma-led side has already won the series with victory in the first two matches and a win in the third T20I match in Bengaluru will result in a historic whitewash. Till now, both India and Pakistan have the joint most whitewash bilateral series in T20I history (8). However, a win in the third T20I on Wednesday will take India's tally to 9 and they will become the first team ever to achieve that feat.

"Stress Is Going To Be Lot...": Under-fire Shreyas Iyer Breaks Silence Ahead Of India vs England Test Series

Shreyas Iyer has been under focus since India's Tour of South Africa ended. The middle-order batter did not have a good Test series as he could not post a single big score in four innings. Contrary To Final Scoreline, It Was A Tough Match Against Italy: Schopman

The Indian women's hockey team on Tuesday routed Italy 5-1 to enter the semifinals of the FIH Olympic Qualifiers here, but chief coach Janneke Schopman feels that the scoreline might not depict how tough it was out there in the middle. India finished second in Pool B behind USA and will now take on Pool A toppers Germany in the semifinals on Thursday. The top three sides from the tournament will qualify for Paris Olympics. "We have learnt from every match. In the first match, we didn't really play well. Our second game was really good and we were in control.
