Mary Kom hung her boxing gloves as the International Boxing Association's (IBA) rules allow male and female boxers to fight in elite-level competition only till the age of 40. During an event, Mary, 41, admitted that she still has the hunger to compete at the elite level, but she has to bring curtains down on her career because of the age limit.

Uncapped spinner Shoaib Bashir was effectively ruled out of the first Test of England's tour of India on Tuesday after he was forced to return home to resolve visa issues. Surrey-born Bashir, a 20-year-old player of Pakistani heritage, was unable to join the rest of the squad flying to India from a training camp in Abu Dhabi ahead of the series opener in Hyderabad starting Thursday following a delay with his visa application. The England and Wales Cricket Board had hoped they could count on assistance from their counterparts at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in resolving the issue but things didn't go the way they expected it to be.

"It's obviously a very special feeling. Whenever you get recognised by the ICC for something it is always special. Reflecting back, it has been a pretty whirlwind last year and having the opportunity to play so much cricket in so many different environments has been very special," Rachin said, according to ICC.
