It was a sensational performance from spinner Kuldeep Yadav as he took a five-wicket haul to put India in control on Day 1 of the fifth Test match against England in Dharamsala on Thursday. The left-arm wrist spinner was in tremendous form as he finished with figures of 5/72 to bundle out England for just 218 after a solid start. In the process, Kuldeep became the fastest Indian cricket team bowler to take 50 Test wickets with respect to ball taken. Kuldeep took just 1871 balls to reach the milestone with Axar Patel (2205) and Jasprit Bumrah (2520) behind him in the list. This was also the first time in India's Test history that a bowler was able to complete 50 Test wickets by bowling less than 2000 deliveries.

Prior to that, India's last Olympic medal was a gold in the Moscow Games in 1980. "Tokyo was a monumental moment, and we're determined to carry that momentum into Paris. Our goal is straightforward -- to upgrade the colour of the medal by aiming for gold," Harmanpreet said in a Hockey India release, reacting to their Paris draw.

India play the away match against Afghanistan on March 21 in Abha, Saudi Arabia, while their home game will be held in Guwahati on March 26. Home matches of Afghanistan are being held outside the war-torn country.

A similar incident happened on Day 1 of the fifth Test match against England in Dharamsala on Tuesday as his comment left fans in splits. As Jonny Bairstow came out to bat during England's first innings, Rohit was having a conversation with a teammate about England batters not preferring off-side shots. In true Rohit fashion, the India skipper quipped - "Isko Toh Kuch Bhi Daal (Bowl whatever you want to him)". The remark was captured on the stump mic and the video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
