Gautam Gambhir's "Shri Krishna" Post In Hindi After IPL Title Win Storms Internet

Undoubtedly one of the biggest factors behind Kolkata Knight Riders' triumph at Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Gautam Gambhir is the man the whole of the Indian cricket spectrum has bowed down to as Shreyas Iyer's men lifted the coveted title on Sunday. Gambhir, since his arrival at KKR, transformed the way the franchise functioned, making game-changing decisions to ensure the team's success in the 17th edition of the T20 league. As KKR ended their 10-year wait to lift the IPL trophy for the third time in their history, Gambhir shared an inspirational post on social media that has taken the entire world of internet by storm.

Watch: Janhvi Kapoor Goes Through A Range Of Emotions As KKR Dominate IPL Final vs SRH

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) blew away SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) with an exceptional bowling performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. After Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first, the KKR bowlers, led by Mitchell Starc and Vaibhav Arora's fiery powerplay spells, knocked the wind out of SRH's sails. Cummins top-scored with a pride-saving 24 as SRH were bowled out for 113 in 18.3 overs.

Not Gautam Gambhir, KKR Star Credits This Ex-India Player For Team's 'Indian Core'

Drenched in emotion, Kolkata Knight Riders players highlighted the contributions of mentor Gautam Gambhir and assistant coach Abhishek Nayar in moulding the team into a champion outfit that outclassed Sunrisers Hyderabad to lift its third IPL trophy on Sunday. The likes of Andre Russell and Harshit Rana found it tough to describe the feeling of being IPL champions, even as they praised Nayar. KKR crushed Hyderabad by eight wickets in a completely one-sided final after bowling out their opponents for 113, the lowest ever total in an IPL title clash. This was KKR's third IPL title.

Gautam Gambhir Meets Jay Shah After IPL Final. Internet On Overdrive With India Coach Speculation

Gautam Gambhir could finally smile. His team Kolkata Knight Riders had just achieved what he planned for since taking over as the mentor of the side. After Sunday, Gambhir can boast of being an IPL champion as a mentor. That too with a team which he led to title in 2012 and 2014. After KKR beat SunRisers Hyderabad by eight wickets, chasing down a 114-run target in just 10.3 overs, Gambhir was a happy man. His mission for IPL 2024 had just been completed.

'Confident I Will Make It': Nitu Ghanghas Eyes LA 2028 Olympics

Nitu Ghanghas may be temporarily away from public spotlight but the Haryana boxer is spending quality time at the Bhiwani Boxing Club preparing for the Los Angeles Olympics in July 2028. A world champion in the 48 kg class, the 23-year-old Nitu could not make it to the Paris Olympics in the 54 kg division, a weight category where she is developing more power and adding skills to keep her reputation as a feisty fighter intact. The ardent Mary Kom fan is considered as a potential successor to the Manipuri legend and missing Asian Games in Hangzhou and Paris 2024 has not left the 2023 world and Commonwealth Games champion heartbroken, instead more determined.

PV Sindhu Signs Off With Runner-Up Finish At Malaysia Masters

Star Indian shuttler PV Sindhu's wait for a much-needed title extended further as she faltered in the finishing line, going down in three games to world no. 7 Wang Zhi Yi of China in the summit clash in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday. Fifth seed Sindhu, a double Olympic medallist, last won the Singapore Open and Commonwealth Games in 2022 and finished runner-up at the Madrid Spain Masters in 2023. The title here looked within her reach when world no. 15 Sindhu held a massive 11-3 lead in the decider after winning the opening game but the former world champion imploded after the final change of sides to go down 21-16 5-21 16-21 in a 79-minute women's singles final.
