Veteran Indian cricket team spinner Amit Mishra has spoken about a stark difference in the nature between Indian stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The leg-spinner pointed out that Kohli does not have many friends within the Indian team for a reason, and stated that "fame and power" has changed him. Mishra drew a comparison between Kohli and Rohit, claiming that the current India captain remains the same person, and someone who Mishra can talk and joke with in the same manner despite Rohit's fame and stature.

India captain Rohit Sharma had recreated Argentine football star Lionel Messi's iconic slow-walk celebration after the final of the T20 World Cup last year. In 2022, Messi had done the same after Argentina defeated France in the FIFA World Cup final in Qatar. The slow-walk gesture gained popularity once again last month when Rohit celebrated in a similar fashion at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. India spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who is an ardent fan of Messi, later revealed that it was him who actually recommended Rohit to recreate the celebration.

After losing T20I series to India 4-1, Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza said the side have to rectify their problems at the top of the order with the bat, adding that attitude on the field is also a grey area for them to work on in future. Zimbabwe won the opening match by 13 runs, but let go of the early advantage to lose the series. "I thought Blessing (Muzarabani) bowled well the whole series. Batting-wise, we are still below-par, but we are starting to rectify the problems at the top. You are going to have bad games here and there. The grey area for me will remain our attitude in the field, we are still making a lot of mistakes, that's controllable, we are going to keep working hard and hopefully keep getting better," said Raza after the match ended.
