A fresh video angle seems to have finally put to rest Suryakumar Yadav's sensational catch that came in the final of 2024 T20 World Cup against South Africa in Barbados. The stunning grab from Suryakumar at the boundary line was so close that it led to a controversy. Needing 16 runs from the final over, South Africa had David Miller on the strike. The southpaw hit a wide full toss from Hardik Pandya but Suryakumar was able to catch the ball inside the ropes at long-off, realised it just as he went over the boundary, and then came back in to complete an astonishing catch.

AIFF Confirms Relegation Of NEROCA And TRAU From I-League, Dismisses Ethnic Conflict Plea

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Tuesday confirmed the relegation of NEROCA FC and TRAU FC from the I-League after the two Manipur clubs finished at the bottom of the 2023-24 season. The AIFF took the decision despite Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh's earlier request to exempt the two Imphal-based clubs from relegation, citing ethnic conflict in the state that began on May 3, 2023. "The All India Football Federation has decided to impose relegation in the I-League 2023-24 as per the rules and regulations," the AIFF said in a release.

Indian Athletics Team To Train At 3 Overseas Sites For Final Olympics Preparation

The 30-member Indian athletics team for the Olympics will train at three different venues abroad in their last leg of preparations before assembling in Paris on July 28, four days before the start of track and field competitions. The Olympic Sports Center in Spala, Poland; Antalya in Turkey; and St Moritz in Switzerland are the three foreign destinations where Indian athletes will train in their last leg of preparations. "The members of the national athletics team will be training at different venues to prepare for the Olympic Games, but will have to assemble in Paris on July 28," chief coach Radhakrishnan Nair said.

The BCCI cannot prioritise one city over another when it comes to organising important finals, said board's vice-president on Friday in response to Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray's demand. Following a massive turnout during Indian cricket team's T20 World Cup victory parade on Marine Drive to the Wankhede Stadium, Thackeray had urged BCCI to not "take away" any final match from Mumbai. "Yesterday's celebration in Mumbai is also a strong message to the BCCI... Never take away a World Cup final from Mumbai!,” Thackeray had written on X.
