In just two weeks after his glory at the Paris Games, Neeraj will be seen in action again. He will be competing at the big meet in Lausanne that will have the likes of Anderson Peters and Jakub Vadlejch. Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, who bagged a gold medal in Paris Olympics, would not be a part of this meet.

Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik have claimed that the Delhi Police has revoked the security cover of female wrestlers set to testify in the sexual harassment case against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Vinesh and Sakshi on ‘X', tagged the Delhi Police, the Delhi Commission for Women, and the National Commission for Women, raising concerns about the safety of the women wrestlers who are key witnesses in the case and wrote, “Delhi Police has withdrawn the security of the women wrestlers who are going to testify against Brij Bhushan in the court."

Mohun Bagan And East Bengal To Clash In Lucknow On September 2

Lucknow, the city of Nawabs, is gearing up to hosts traditional rivals Mohun Bagan and East Bengal for the first time on September 2 as part of plans to promote football in Uttar Pradesh. The derby will be played at state capital's K.D. Singh Babu Stadium. State Sports Director R.P. Singh told PTI that preparations are on full swing for the high-voltage match that will be played under floodlights. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also expected to watch the proceedings and about 10,000 spectators are expected to throng the stadium.

East Bengal Clubbed With Nejmeh, Bashundhara Kings, Paro In AFC Challenge League

Indian Super League club East Bengal has been drawn in Group A of the AFC Challenge League alongside Nejmeh SC (Lebanon), Bashundhara Kings (Bangladesh) and Paro FC (Bhutan). The Group A encounters will happen at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu. The Red and Gold Brigade made it to the competition thanks to its title conquest at the Kalinga Super Cup this year.
