Chennai Super Kings Blasted For Helping New Zealand Star Prepare For India Tests: "Line Has To Be..."

Former Indian cricket team batter Robin Uthappa criticised Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings for allowing New Zealand star Rachin Ravindra to practice at their academy ahead of the Test series against India. Ravindra emerged as the highest run-scorer for New Zealand as the visitors completed a 3-0 whitewash in the series. Ravindra was part of the CSK squad in IPL 2024 and the franchise allowed him to practice at their academy in order to get acclimatised to the Indian conditions. Uthappa was highly critical of CSK's decision and said that when the country's interest in at stake, a line should be drawn by the teams.

Controversial Ex-India Coach's Heartfelt Note To Prithvi Shaw: "Even Don Bradman..."

Former India head coach Greg Chappell has penned a heartfelt note to out-of-favour batter Prithvi Shaw, extending his support to latter after he was dropped from Mumbai's Ranji Trophy team. Shaw, who first caught the limelight after leading India to the U-19 World Cup title in 2018, made a hundred on Test debut against West Indies in Rajkot. Cut to present, Shaw didn't even find a place in Mumbai's squad for the ongoing round of Ranji Trophy owing to 'poor fitness'. While he last played for India in an ODI against Sri Lanka in 2021, his last Test appearance came during the tour of Australia in 2020/21.

"India Haven't Become A Bad Team": New Zealand Star Gives Mammoth Verdict

New Zealand skipper Tom Latham remained considerate even after the historic 3-0 Test series clean sweep against India recently, asserting that Rohit Sharma's "quality" side has the ability to make a resounding comeback soon. The Kiwis, under Latham, became the first visiting side to whitewash India in a three-match home series, winning the Bengaluru, Pune and Mumbai Tests. "Indian cricket in general is really special. We've played against them a lot. The guys play with them at the IPL. They were certainly gracious in defeat and they're still a quality side," Latham said after arriving from India.

Neeraj Chopra Bids Heartfelt Farewell To Coach Klaus Bartonietz

Neeraj Chopra on Wednesday bid an emotional farewell to his German coach Klaus Bartonietz who ended his five-year partnership with the star Indian javelin thrower, citing family commitments. The 75-year-old coach, who guided Chopra to a historic gold at the Tokyo Olympics, a silver at the Paris Games this year, and several other medals, had earlier expressed his inability to continue, as reported by PTI in October. "I write this without knowing where to begin. Coach, you are more than just a mentor to me. Everything you taught has helped me grow both as an athlete and person. You have gone out of your way to make sure I was mentally and physically prepared for every competition," Chopra wrote in X in an emotional tribute.

"If I Struggle So Much, Imagine...": India Olympian's Reality-Check On Nation Hosting 2036 Olympics

After India made a formal bid to host the 2036 Olympics, two-time world champion boxer Nikhat Zareen said the bid would motivate sportspersons but called for the need to establish Sports Authority of India (SAI) centres in every state to foster overall sports development, essential for staging such a prestigious event in the country. The ambitious plan to bring the world's largest sporting event to India has been backed by strong government support. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has repeatedly expressed his intent to bring the Olympics to India in 2036.

'They Will Cook Jasprit Bumrah': Australia's 'Smart' Strategy Against India Revealed

Former New Zealand cricket team fast bowler Simon Doull believes that Australia have come up with a 'clever' plan to counter Jasprit Bumrah during the Border-Gavaskar Test series. In a recent discussion on JioCinema, Doull pointed out that Bumrah will be the 'biggest threat' for Australia in the series and he thinks that the hosts are trying to 'cook' him with the scheduling. According to the ex-NZ star, Australia will tire out Bumrah with the first Test taking place in the 'heat' of Perth followed up by the pink-ball Test in Adelaide - something that may force India to rest him in the middle of the series.
