England Players Could Boycott Hundred Against RCB's Stance On NOC Policy

A group of "50 leading England cricketers" could boycott next year's Hundred competition to protest the England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) overhaul of its NOC policy, which players need to participate in franchise tournaments, according to a report. It was revealed last week that the ECB intended to not issue NOCs for tournaments which have their dates clashing with the English summer, unless the cricketer "is on a white-ball only deal with their county", reported The Telegraph. "This includes the Pakistan Super League, which moves to a slot concurrent to the Indian Premier League (which is controversially exempt from the policy) in April and May next year," the report said.

Watch: Marnus Labuschagne 'Dares' Jasprit Bumrah In Animated Exchange. This Happens Next

India pacer Jasprit Bumrah had an intriguing exchange with Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne on Day 1 of the pink-ball Test in Adelaide on Friday. The incident happened after the third ball of 13th over of Australia's innings when Labuschagne defended a good length ball from Bumrah. The Indian cricket team vice-captain picked up the ball and pretended to throw it towards the stumps as Labushcagne had come out of his crease to defend it. The batter then dared Bumrah to throw the ball, to which the Indian pacer smiled and turned back.

"Just A Magician With The Pink Ball": Ex-Australia Star's Ultimate Praise For Mitchell Starc

Mitchell Starc's rampant bowling on the first day of the second Test saw Australia crash through the Indian batting line-up at the Adelaide Oval on Friday. His brilliant bowling effort prompted former Australia opening batter Matthew Hayden to label the left-arm pacer as a 'magician with the pink ball'. "He has that scrambled seam delivery that goes across the right-hander, but when he does have that ability-which he did-I must admit I was a little surprised. I've never really seen the pink ball swing into the sort of 40th over and so aggressively swing as well. By that stage, he used a really important word, and it's a bit of an underrated word as well, and that's momentum," Hayden told Star Sports at the end of the day's play in Adelaide.

Sumit Nagal Set To Play Fifth Grand Slam, Earns Direct Entry In Australian Open 2025

Indian tennis star Sumit Nagal is set for his fifth appearance in a Grand Slam after earning a direct entry for the main draw of next year's Australian Open. The 98th-ranked Nagal, who features in the entry list released by Tennis Australia on Friday, had to go through the qualifying rounds in the competition's previous edition. In the first round, Nagal had stunned the 31st seed Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan in straight sets to record a win by 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 (5), becoming the first Indian player to beat a seeded player in the main draw in singles at Grand Slam in 34 years.

Asian Women's Handball Championship: India Go Down Fighting Against Japan, Miss Semi-Final Berth

India struck 15 goals against Japan but that proved insufficient as the former champions won 48-15 to advance to the semi-finals of the Asian Women's Handball Championship in New Delhi on Thursday. India will now face Singapore in the 5-8th place classification on Sunday, with the winners to play either China or Hong Kong to determine their final standings. In the semifinals, South Korea will face Iran, while Kazakhstan play Japan on Sunday. Maninder Kaur scored India's first goal after a battling start, while goalkeeper Nina Shil carried her form over from the previous match to thwart Japan's early attacks.

"Nothing Special": Mitchell Starc's Blunt Verdict On Yashasvi Jaiswal's Royal Duck In Pink-Ball Test

Australia mainstay seamer Mitchell Starc outlined his simple and "nothing special" plan of dismissing India opener and centurion of the last game, Yashasvi Jaiswal in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Adelaide. Starc reigned supreme on the opening day of the pink-ball Test, with his inswinging deliveries landing on the mark. As fans settled into their seats to witness the enticing affair, Starc sent Jaiswal back to the dressing room on the very first ball, before some could even lift their eyes up. A delicious pitched-up inswing delivery left Jaiswal undone in front of the stumps as he tried to go across instead of playing it with a straight bat.

Did Mohammed Siraj Bowl 181.6 Kmph Delivery In Pink-Ball Test vs Australia? Speed-Gun Error Goes Viral
