Francesco Bagnaia started on pole, and he and Martin battled early for the lead, but the pair were distracted, allowing Jack Miller to steal in for the lead. Ad Martin then effortlessly slipped by both Bagnaia and Miller on a straight, and with nine laps to go, opened up a second’s lead.
