BEIJING: Young gun Sarah Fillier fired a pair of goals as Canada romped to an 11-1 rout of Finland in women's ice hockey at the Beijing Olympics on Saturday, to remain on a gold medal collision course with United States.
BEIJING : Youth kept pace with experience on Team Canada this week, as 21-year-old forward Sarah Fillier made her presence felt at the Olympic women's ice hockey preliminary group round in Beijing.
In her first Olympics, Canada's Sarah Fillier is quickly proving she belongs.
Sarah Fillier, Sarah Nurse, Brianne Jenner, Laura Stacey and Jamie Lee Rattray were all on target as Canada beat Finland 11-1. Canada started sharply and were in control after 61 seconds. Fillier struck from ten yards out to open the scoring and net her third goal of the Games.
