Champion Lyles relishes American worlds dominance
EUGENE, Ore. : A year after the U.S. men walked away from the Tokyo Olympics without a single individual track gold, sprinter Noah Lyles said on Thursday he was savouring every title won by American athletes at the World Championships.

EUGENE, Ore. : In a World Championships already boasting some notable clean sweeps, the United States remained in the hunt for a first 1-2-3 in the women's 800 metres after their big three, led by Olympic champion Athing Mu, advanced from Thursday's heats.

World Athletics Championships: 'I could not keep up' - Caster Semenya out of 5000m in her first appearance since 2017
Caster Semenya missed out on qualifying for Saturday’s 5000m final at the world championships in her first appearance at the competition since 2017. The South African finished 13th out of 16 runners in her heat in a time of 15:46.12; almost a minute off Ethiopia’s Gudaf Tsegay who came first (14:52.27). Semenya's time was 45 seconds off qualifying for the final.
