ZAGREB, Croatia: Croatia substitute Lovro Majer scored a late goal as they beat Denmark 2-1 on Thursday (Sep 22) to top UEFA Nations League A Group 1 with the winner coming two minutes after visiting captain Christian Eriksen's superb equaliser.
Goals from Borna Sosa and Lovro Majer helped Croatia beat Denmark 2-1 on Thursday night to go top of Group A1 in the Nations League. In a game that had three goals of the highest quality, Sosa broke the deadlock after 49 minutes to give Croatia the lead with his first international goal.
Croatia host Denmark for the battle of supremacy in League A Group 1 of the UEFA Nations League. Denmark currently sit top with nine points from four games, while Croatia occupy the second spot with seven points from a possible 12.
