The ongoing edition of The Hundred reached a new milestone, after young English batter Will Smeed, representing Birmingham Phoenix, smashed the first century of the hundred-ball competition. The 20-year-old achieved the feat during the clash against Southern Brave on Wednesday at Edgbaston. Smeed thrashed the Brave bowlers to every corner of the ground and brought up the maiden ton of The Hundred tournament in just 49 deliveries. His knock helped Birmingham Phoenix to post a total of 176 and then later on, Southern Brave were bowled out for 123.

Legendary South African umpire Rudi Koertzen passed away on Tuesday. The famous match official and three other people were killed in a head-on collision near Riversale. "He went on a golf tournament with some of his friends, and they were expected to come back on Monday, but it seems they decided to play another round of golf," his son said.

India challenged the Australian title charge twice - 2010 and 2014 - but fell woefully short. Come Monday, will India be third time lucky? A lot has changed since the teams last met in a CWG final. When Australia blanked India 4-0 in Glasgow 2014, India's current chief coach, Australian Graham Reid, was in the champions dugout then. This time round, he will play a pivotal role as India look to dethrone the mighty Aussies. The odds are stacked against India, who lost the last meeting between the two sides 1-7 in a group match at the Tokyo Olympics last year. But current form and not history will decide the winners and to win that elusive gold, Manpreet Singh and his men will have to play out of their skins on Monday.
Team India led by Rohit Sharma will look to gain an unassailable lead in the five-match series when they take on West Indies in the fourth T20I on Saturday in Florida. The visitors currently have a 2-1 lead after having won the third match by seven wickets. Suryakumar Yadav was the star of the show as he played a knock of 76. Rohit Sharma retired hurt midway due to back spasms while Shreyas Iyer's form is a huge concern in the shortest format. So it would be interesting to see whether the visitors make any changes to their playing XI for the fourth T20I.
