Young fast bowler Mayank Yadav has been a revelation for Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing IPL 2024 with the youngster producing a match-winning performance on debut. He took three wickets and impressed everyone with his express pace against Punjab Kings. Mayank followed it up by another match-winning performance against Royal Challengers Bengaluru - a match where he produced the fastest delivery of this year's competition at 156.7 Kmph. While he suffered a side strain during the next match and has not make a comeback till now, his performances were enough to spark a conversation about him potentially finding a place in India's squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

Ahead of LSG's game against Chennai Super Kings, LSG assistant coach Lance Klusener provided a massive fitness update on Mayank and when he can potentially make his return.
Kolkata Knight Riders' star pacer Mitchell Starc is having a forgettable Indian Premier League season. The left-arm pacer saw KKR breaking the bank to secure his services ahead of IPL 2024. It was a record sum of Rs 24.75 crore that KKR paid at the auction war to bag Starc. While the price grabbed a lot of eyeballs, Starc failed to live up to the expectations in the first six matches for KKR in IPL 2024. KKR's match against Rajasthan Royals in Tuesday night at Eden Gardens was no different for Starc as he conceded 50 runs in his four overs without taking any wicket.
Australian speedster Mitchell Starc is not bothered about the criticism directed at him for not living up to his high IPL price tag but on Sunday admitted that his lack of T20 experience could be the reason for taking longer time to find his rhythm. Starc, the IPL's highest buy at a whopping Rs 24.75 crore, came up with his best show this season, claiming 3/28, including two wickets in the final over, that helped KKR restrict Lucknow Super Giants to a below par 161 for 7. KKR then chased down the target in 15.4 overs with eight wickets intact. Prior to Sunday, Starc took just two wickets in four matches with an average of 77 and leaked 11 runs per over as he drew widespread criticism.
India's 2014-15 Test series in Australia is one to remember for Virat Kohli. Kohli kicked off with a century each in both the innnigs of the first Test that was played at Adelaide Oval. In the next game at The Gabba in Brisbane, Kohli failed to replicate his heroics but he made a good comeback with a ton each in Melbourne and Sydney in the third and final Test matches that folllowed.
