MIAMI: Michael Porter Jr scored 25 points as reigning NBA champions the Denver Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat 100-88 on Wednesday (Mar 13) to reclaim top spot in the Western Conference.
World number two Aryna Sabalenka shrugged off her stunning defeat by Emma Navarro in the fourth round of Indian Wells and said she hoped her "home" tournament in Miami next week would provide the platform to hit peak form again.
Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi were on target as Inter Miami marched into the last eight of the CONCACAF Champions Cup with a 3-1 (5-3 aggregate) win over Nashville on Wednesday. Messi set up Suarez for the eighth-minute opener and then the Argentine found the target himself in the 23rd minute. But the eight-times Ballon d'Or winner was substituted in the 50th minute before his replacement Robert Taylor made sure of the victory with a 63rd-minute header. Miami, playing in the competition for the first time, will face the winner of Thursday's second-leg between Mexico's Monterrey and MLS's FC Cincinnati in the quarter-finals. The Liga MX team are at home and lead 1-0 from the first-leg.

Fantasy investors, quite obviously, were not pleased and many moved on. Snell had walked four-plus hitters in half of those outings and, while he had more strikeouts than innings pitched, a 1.60 WHIP does damage. Sure, Snell had won 21 games and the 2018 AL Cy Young Award with the Rays, but it had been a roller coaster of inconsistent fantasy numbers and low volume even since for the Rays and Padres.
