Notably, Iftikhar's nickname is 'chachu' (uncle) which was given to him by Babar Azam. He has been often referred to as 'chachu' by his teammates and fans of cricket. However, Iftikhar wasn't happy with a fan calling him by the same while he was fielding near the boundary at the Seddon Park. The players asked the fan to not call him 'chachu', to which the fan replied saying that he is a fan of him.

A never-before-seen incident took place during the second T20I between Pakistan and New Zealand at the Seddon Park in Hamilton on Sunday. The incident occurred during the sixth over of the innings when Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman was firing on all cylinders. Fakhar hit Ben Sears for a massive six over deep backward square-leg and the ball ended up on the road. However, a fan took the ball and ran away with it. In the video, a couple of fans were seen chasing the ball after Fakhar's monstrous hit. A fan eventually eventually picked up the ball and ran away with it.
Star batter Babar Azam on Sunday smashed his second half-century in as many games but Pakistan went down against New Zealand in the second T20I in Hamilton. Babar, who hit 57 in the series-opener in Auckland, smashed 66 off just 43 balls, but couldn't guide his team to a win at the Seddon Park as New Zealand took a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
